| Promoting Khadi best tribute to Mahatma: Maansi | | |

Jammu, Oct 1: In a first of its kind, students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Jammu centre, today presented a show of garments made in khadi fabric.
This was done to familiarize the new generation about the fabric that formed the backbone during our freedom struggle.
Three rounds of sixteen khadi garment collections, two women and one men in the themes of Indian and indo-western were showcased.
The garments were designed by the young and upcoming fashion designers of JD institute.
The cuts and style used for the garments were absolutely modern and trendy and were appreciated greatly by the young audience present at the venue.
Maansi Gupta, centre director, JD institute said that promoting khadi and bringing it close to the new generation is the best possible tribute that can be paid to Mahatama Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
