| Hullar residents resent cutting of trees | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 1: The inhabitants of village Hullar expressed grave concern towards the felling of green trees of Deodar and Kai in Forest area in compartment No. 20 situated under Forest Division Kishtwar by some miscreants with in convenience of Forest beat guard of the said compartment.
It was on September 4 in front of beat guard some peoples and labourers were engaged for cuttings of green kail trees. After enquiry we came to know through these labourer that we are being engaged for this table by the beat guard and this is going in for the last saveral months.
Soon after that we approached the DFO Kishtwar and requested him to book this beat guard for illegally extracting timber from compartment 20 but instead of talking stern action against the said guard these green kails were seized and out of three only one was show in the record which has created a great resentment among the inhabitants of village Hullar and adjoining areas for illegally extracting green timber from this compartment. The notice of Forest Minister so that an open ...... conducted as possible to bring the culprit booked to save the felling of green trees. The public of Hullar. Gh. Hussain, Mohd.
