Jammu, 1 Oct: Tata Indicom, the CDMA brand of Teleservices Limited, India’s fastest-growing pan-India dual technology telecom service provider, has launched a Commonwealth 2010 Value Added Service portfolio for all its customers across India.
The service ensures extensive Commonwealth Games information dissemination to subscribers, with real-time updates, happenings, alerts, results, interesting facts and much more.
Tata Indicom customers can access four services—Commonwealth Games on SMS, Commonwealth Games Zone, Commonwealth Games Radio and Commonwealth Games Theme as Welcome Tune.
“The fact that our country is hosting the XIXth Commonwealth Games is a matter of national pride for us. We are delighted to announce this association with the Commonwealth Games—with the introduction of a dedicated VAS portfolio that offers information, entertainment, facts, etc. on CWG 2010,” Atul Kansal, Chief Operating Officer, J&K Circle, Tata Indicom, said.

Leela Karan expresses gratitude to Harsh Dev for raising Jammu martyrs’ cause

Jammu, October 2: Former convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti, Leela Karan Sharma has thanked JKNPP leader of the assembly Harsh Dev Singh for raising the issue of martyrs of Shri Amarnath Land Agitation-2008 in which 15 person laid down their lives.
13 persons killed during agitation and two injured namely Raghu Veer from Kathua and Satish Pandita from Nagrota succumbed to their injuries during the agitation.
“We know that.Harsh Dev has always raised the issues regarding the discrimination with Jammu,” said Lela Karan in a press statement issued today.
By walking out from the assembly Harsh Dev brought proud to all the members of martyrs of Sh.Amarnath Land Agitation, he said.
Paying 5 Lakh to those who were killed in anti-India agitation in Kashmir valley is really a matter of shame on govt of India and not considering the martyrs of Jammu, who laid down their lives holding tri-colour in hands & shouting Bharat Mata ki Jai also proved that our state govt.has nexus with anti-national elements in Kashmir Valley,opined Leela Karan.
Leela-Karan said it was the speech of Omar Abdullah in the Parliament (Lok Sabha) 2008 that not an inch of land will be given to Hindus for Amarnath land created the problem and converted into a massive agitation.
He said Omar Abdullah must seek apology for making that statement.
He requested all the MLA’s form Jammu to fight out against the discrimination & anti-national designs of state govt.
