| HC suspends sentence of AEE, grants bail | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 2: State high court today granted bail to an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) who was awarded one year imprisonment and fine Rs 50000 in disproportionate assets case.
This order was today passed in an appeal filed by Purshtom Kumar Kohli who was awarded one year imprisonment and fine Rs 50000 in disproportionate assets case. Justice Sunil Hali after hearing Senior Adv Sunil Sethi with Advocates SC Bali and Abhinav Sharma for the appellant issued notice to respondents.
And also, in the meanwhile subject to appellants furnishing bail in the amount of Rs 25000 and one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of Registrar Judicial of the state high court ordered for the release of the appellant on bail. Court further said that conviction of appellants shall also remain suspended. JNF
