| Cultural Academy felicitates Chote Ustaad | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 3: In a very impressive musical function organised by J&K Academy of art, culture and languages in collaboration with Goswami Guru Nabha Dass Mission, All J&K Mahasha Sadar Sabha Jammu felicitated Master Satinder Shanu alias Chote Ustad.
The programme was held under the patronage of Beli Ram Kundal and Amar Nath Bhardwaj and Amar Nath Bhardwaj, advocates and also with the support of Kanwarjeet Sethi Ramesh Lalotra and Tilak Raj Karotra.
On the occasion, Madan Lal Sharma, M.P was the chief guest whereas Roop Lal Bharti, member PSC, J&K, Kanta Bhan, general secretary PCCI were the guest of honours.
Earlier, Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, welcomed the guests and the audience. In her welcome address, she said the objective of the Academy is not only to promote and preserve the art and Culture only but to encourage and provide plateform to the budding and hidden talent as well.
Satinder Shannu is one of the child artist (Sufi Singer) who has been explored by the Academy who got lot of name and fame at the national level.
The noted artists who gave the mesmerizing musical and cultural performance were Master Satinder Shannu, Krishna Kumari and Parduman Singh, Sapna Bali and Nirmal Koul, Bishan Dass and Asha Kesar, Nisha, Darmesh Nargotra, Antu Benerjee, Sabodh Sharma, Varinder Kapadia.
Sh. Rakesh Anand was on flute, Satish Lalotra on Dholak, Joginder Pal on table, Sunil Sharma on Synth and Sahil on Actopad.
Besides Naresh Banmotra, Ashwani Kumar, Aditya Rao were the playback Singer.
Prominent among those who witnesses the programme included Sh. SR Manyal (Tehsildar Settlement, Jammu), Sh. Prithvi Chand, SN Manyal, Sh. Prem Lal, Sh Faqir Nath (Ex Mlas),SR Majotra (Dy. Director Finance (Rtd), Sh. Khilari Lal (Dy. Supdt. Sty.& OS Deptt.),Dr. Devinder Manyal, Er. Surinder Lakhnotra (AEE), Sh. Garib Dass Tehsildar (Rtd), Sh. Hans Raj Kalotra, Sh. Bansi Lal Nagotra, Sham Lal Mahasha & Vijay Kumar Magotra.
Addressing the jampacked hall, Madan Lal Sharma (M.P) said that Satinder Shannu is an asset for Jammu & Kashmir and it is the responsibility of the every citizen to support him for his future adventure.
He further said that Academy of Art Culture and Languages is doing very good job in order to provide plateform to the budding artists. He also announced that he will provide financial support of Rs 5000 per month to Shannu for his education and training.
The proceeding of the programme was very ably conducted by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan and Rajni Sharma.
