| Non-violence, a real tribute to Mahatma: ACI | | | Early Times Report
Darhal, Oct 3: While terming people response towards Ayodhya verdict a symbol of peace, tolerance, non-violence and integrity, Attitude Change International (ACI), attributes this - a real tribute to the father of nation on his 141st birthday.
Darhal based NGO, engaged in promoting peace education, along with Rotary
Club of Darhal Malikan organized a simple but thoughtful function to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi—declared as ‘International Day of Non-Violence’ by The United Nations General Assembly in 2007 - in recognition to his role in promoting the message of peace and non-violence across world.
Various speakers spoke on different aspects of Gandhian philosophy and its relevance to contemporary society. They applauded role of both parties to Ayodhya conflict for their respectful acceptance of court’s decision and termed this as a real tribute to apostle of peace. The organization underlined that hatred must not be transmitted to the coming generations and history should not be repeated over time.
President of ACI as well as Rotary Club Darhal, Rtn Dr.M. Ashaq Raza said that both Hindus and Muslims along with several others communities, are the integral part of Indian society and none can survive in isolation
