| Soul of man entangled in materialism : Madhu Param Hans | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 3: Madhu Param Hans ji Maharaj, the spiritual head of Sahib Bandgi, while delivering his sermons at Poonchh House, Talab Tillo, said that the soul of man, being entangled in the net of Munn-Maya, has forgotten its real identity. One thing that a satguru does at the time of blessing the devotee with Nam, is to separate his soul from his mind. He places the soul, that is otherwise present in whole of the body, at Medula plexus.
After this, the mind inspite of its hard efforts, can’t succeed in bringing it in its grip. Slowly, the disciple begins to understand his soul. The satguru didn’t give any power to it. This is because, the soul, being a part of Param Purush, is very strong. The guru removes only the veil of Munn-Maya from it.
Once a cub lost its way & got mixed up with the goats of a shepherd. He took it with him. It played with the goats of the shepherd. It had forgotten its real identity & had developed the habit of feeding on gross. Likewise, our soul has developed a wrong habit of living alongwith the organs.
The way of fighting, the gait & speech of the cub also became like that of the goats. So to say, in the company of goats, it lost all the traits of a lion.
As per his habit, the shepherd beat the cub as well with a stick when he did so to the goats. It bore all this like the other goats.
One day, a lion from a nearby forest came there. Like other goats the cub also felt afraid on seeing him. The lion saw that the cub was grazing grass like other goats & was receiving the blows of stick as well. All it was against the nature of a lion. He went near the cub. The latter was afraid on seeing him. The lion asked it not to worry. The cub said that he would eat it up. The lion said that it was also a lion. The cub said that it was a goat.
He took the cub near a spring & asked it to look into the water. It resembled like him. It asked him if it was also a lion. The lion cleared its doubts & taught it all about the nature of a lion.
Likewise, the soul has not lost its power. It has only got polluted on account of its association with Mind.
