| Vaishnodevi pilgrimage suspended | | |
Jammu, July 27 : The Vaishnodevi pilgrimage was suspended today following landslides triggered by heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Five persons were injured at Adhkuwari and other places on the route of pilgrimage last night due to landslides and falling of stones following heavy rains, they said, adding the injured have been hospitalised.
The yatra to Vaishnodevi shrine was suspended as a precaurionary measure due to landslides and falling of stones and after the stoppage of continous rains the pilgrimage will resume, officals added. |
