| Exhibition on teaching aids held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4: An exhibition on teaching aids was organised in the PG Department, MIER College of Education by the post graduate students. The students of M. Ed. prepared the teaching aids during a two-days workshop from September 25 and 27 in M.Ed. Hall. During these two days, they worked hard to prepare these aids. To prepare them for this workshop, they were exposed to different kinds of teaching aids – conventional /Non-conventional, Projected and Non-projected, three dimensional aids, transparencies, working models on different teaching subjects.
Dr Arun K Gupta, chairman, MIER Group of Institutions inaugurated the exhibition. He was accompanied by Director, Dr. Renu Gupta, Joint Director Dr. Adit Gupta and Dr. Surinder Kaur, Administrator MIER College on Education.
Dr Arun K Gupta lauded the efforts of the students and the staff. Interacting with the students, he stressed the importance of teaching aids in facilitating the teaching learning process. However, he suggested that more innovative and creative aids should be prepared by the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Renu Gupta stressed upon the importance of audio-visual aids and suggested that students should use novel and innovative techniques in preparing aids in all the subjects .
Dr Adit Gupta also interacted with the students and appreciated their efforts. Dr. Ira Bhan thanked all the dignitaries.
