| JWAM call on Sawhney, apprise Jammu problems | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 4: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) deputation today called on S C Sawhney Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and apprised him of the problems being faced by the people of Jammu City and the West Constituency.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple mentioned that the ERA department has damaged all the lanes, roads and drains of the West Constituency and laid the sewerage pipes
He expressed great concern over the slow pace development works of ERA and UEED for the construction of the drains as most of the drains of the Jammu City are 20 to 30 years old and which needs immediate repair.
Dimple demanded Commissioner for a special package for the drainage system.
He alleged the encroachments on the roads have created lot of traffic problem in Jammu city at Purani Mandi, Link road, City Chowk, Moti Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Jain Bazaar etc.
He also raised various issues before JMC commissioner and sought immediate attention of Commissioner besides demanded special sanitation drive in the Jammu city
JMC commissioner S C Sawhney gave patient hearing and assured him that immediate action will be taken on the demands put forward.
