| Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4: A three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) was organized today by Rural Artisans Welfare Society (RAWS), an NGO, at Katra. The EDP was organized for Training in Entrepreneurship Development of leaders of different Self Help Groups formulated under Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yozna (AHVY) of Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It was inaugurated jointly by Manohar Lal District Development Manager, NABARD and Maya Devi, Assistant Director, DC Handicrafts. In his address he appreciated the efforts of the NGO for Organizing such an Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Women SHG Leaders in Rural Areas. He also stressed on the need of developing women Entrepreneurs in rural areas for economic development of the rural poor. Others who spoke on the occasion was Rajeev Pandita President Rural Artisans Welfare Society, Rajesh Gupta officials of DC Handicrafts, Dr PKS Rathore Dy Director Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Manohar Lal Distt Development Manager, NABARD, Nazir Ahmed Officer Khadi & Village Industries Board, Raman Koushal Cluster Head J&K Bank and representative of Jammu & Kashmir Handicrafts Departments. Nearly thirty leaders of different Self Help Groups of Udhampur and Reasi are participating in this programme. The EDP shall continue till October 6.
