| Political person may become J&K governor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 4: For the first time in the history of the sensitive state, a political person was likely to be appointed as the governor of Jammu and Kashmir, replacing NN Vohra.
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) sources privy to this move said the Centre was mulling the option of appointing a political person as J&K governor.
The state has not had a political person ever as governor and appointment of a politician is expected to give a major boost to the the Centre's initiative to restore peace in the state as part of its 8-point formula announced in the recent past. |
