Two J&K youth among 3 held with charas in Mumbai

MUMBAI, Oct 4: Three persons, including two from Jammu and Kashmir, have been arrested by narcotics control bureau (NCB) in Maharashtra's Thane district along with 61 kilograms of charas.
The estimated cost of the seized charas was put at Rs 8 million by NCB.
The arrests were made last Friday at Kharegaon following a tip-off, according to NCB zonal director Yashodhan Wanage.
He said a truck driven by Shaukat Ali and Asif, both residents of Jammu and Kashmir, was intercepted and searched, and the drugs found concealed in specially made cavities in the roof of the driver's cabin.
The consignment and the truck were seized and the accused apprehended, he added.
Wanage said interrogation of the duo revealed that the consignment was meant to be delivered to Syed Ejaz Ismail alias Dadhi, who lived in Mumbra town.
Ismail too was arrested, he informed.
He said all the three accused had been sent to NCB's custody till Oct 7.While Ali (19) hails from Roat village in Doda district, Asif (20) is from Naini-Nara in Bandipur district of Kashmir.
