| Life of a Kashmiri changed to joke: Andrabi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5: “The curfew is the official phenomenon of the contemporary Kashmir. Shut downs speak of the separatist mindset. And the life of a common man has been changed to an ugly joke by both”, said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi president of Socialistic Democratic Party while addressing the party workers at SDP Office at Jammu in reaction to the continuous ‘Hartal’ calendars and the routine curfew impositions in the valley of Kashmir.
Dr Darakhshan said that both the parties are quite comfortable and it is the common man who is being grinded between the approaches of both in dealing with the situation, said that the full working year in the valley had gone waste because of the unfortunate experimentations from both ends.
She said that agitators have gained virtually nothing out of four month long disturbance and violence and so seems the fate of the government which is still a failure in making a way out of the mess.
Darakhshan said that the only gainers out of this prolonged disturbance are the propagators of agitation and a few ruling and opposition camps. She said that we have the most un -strategic and ineffective government in the state and we are only fed with polished and sentimentalist statements from the chief minister and his aides about the situation but their way of dealing with the situation well speaks of the inefficiency of them all.
She said, "It was unfortunate that no positive thinking people come out in this era of negativity in Kashmir". Criticizing the PDP the move to boycott the Assembly Session, Dr Andrabi said that our so called representatives too are infected with is negativity bug and everybody wants to choose a escape root and shun responsibilities. She said that it was better for them to resign then if they were feeling impact less as representatives. Andrabi said that for the last sixty years politics of this nature has been in vogue in Kashmir where in place of public, personal interests have been in the forefront.
Dr Darakhshan requested the non political intelligentsia to come out and start a positive discourse so that the common suffering class of the valley gets a relief.
