| Micro Legal Awareness Camp organised at Sangaldan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5: A legal awareness camp was conducted at Sangaldan (Gool), Ramban under the Chairpersonship of Bala Jyoti Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairperson District Legal Services Authority) Ramban where in CJM Ramban, police officers, bar members, panches and sarpanches actively participated. The speakers focused on rights of women, labour laws, accidental cases, fundamental right of children to have education up to a particular level, penal laws untouchability, Socio legal problems of transgender community. On the occasion, a live question answer programme was also conducted. SDPO Gool Mushim Ahmed and Tehsildar Gool Rattan Lal Dogra who is also active Member of District Legal Services Authority focused on sensitization of Police Officers and Judicial Officers towards victims of crime.
A large number of people participated in the camp and appreciated the efforts made by District Legal Services Authority.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub Judge) Ramban Kusam Lata Pandita, Tassaduk Malik Advocate and AR Mushtaq President Bar Association Advocate participated in the programme.
H Malik, Sajad Ahmed, Bahar Ahmed Runiyal, Suraj Singh Parihar, Yasir Malik, A.H Yattoo Advocates, SHOs, PP Ghulam Nabi Manhas highlighted the benefits of various schemes under the Legal aid programme.
Earlier also District Legal Services Authority conducted Micro Legal Camps, Legal Clinic, Workshops for sensitization of Police Officers, Judicial Officers and all other concerned to feel the suffering of victims of crime and to mitigate their sufferings.
