| NSF holds one-day conference | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
AKHNOOR, Oct 5:
National Secular Forum (NSF) Akhnoor tehsil held one day conference here today under the chairmanship of district Chairman Surjit Chowdhary.
Vikas Sharma president was the chief guest.
The conference among others was addressed by district secretary Pawan Sharma and Sanjay Sharma.
NSF passed a resolution wherein it demanded that the unemployed youth of the state be provided Government job.
It also demanded that Vice Chancellor of Central University should be a local. The NSF activists said that Jammu too have got talented people who can hold the position of Vice Chancellor of Central University coming up in Jammu.
Addressing the convention Vikas Sharma endorsed the resolutions passed by the forum. Sharma said that the Fourm is a non political, non religious and non-Governmental organization which is working for the poor, and weaker sections of the society in general and student community in particular.
While pointing towards the Jammu based MLAs, which represents Jammu in the assembly, Sharma said that the MLAs have failed to raise the voice of Jammu Youth in assembly against PSC selection lists of the Lecturers in different subjects and main list of KAS. He further announced full support to the aggrieved students of KAS.
Later, a new team for Akhnoor Tehsil was constituted. Sunil Sharma (Mintu) has been appointed as President of the NSF Akhnoor wing. Ajay Sharma was appointed as Sr Vice-President. Vinod Sharma was appointed as Gen Secretary. Ganesh Dass was appointed as Org Secretary. Vijay Sharma, Anil was appointed as Secretary, Rohit was appointed as Cashier. Babu was appointed as Press Secretary. Sunil was appointed as convener and Kuldeep Raj,Vicky, Surinder Singh Chib and others were elected members. Surjit Chowdhary District President NSF, welcomed all the members in the organization and hoped that they will work unitedly for the organization.
