Harsh for concerted efforts to bring peace in valley

Srinagar Oct 5: Harshdev Singh said that it is unfortunate that the abode of Rishis and Munis has become unsafe for its own people. He said need of the hour is to think collectively for resolving the problem of Kashmir and bring peace and normalcy in the State, adding that present unrest should not be considered as a cause of concern for Jammu and Kashmir only but for the entire country.
Singh said that the Central Government has taken a bold initiative by deputing All Party Delegation to the State to go examine the reasons behind the unrest. He said being an integral part of the country nobody can separate it from the Union of India.
Appreciating the role of the army during the earthquake in 2005 and recent devastation in Ladakh region due to cloudburst where army played an exemplary role for the rescue and rehabilitation work. He said it is the army, which is taking care of all our comforts and guarding the boundaries of the country. He favoured continuation of deployment of army in present context as State police cannot adequately tackle the situation.
Harshdev Singh also sought compensation of Rs. 5 lakh for those killed in Jammu during Shri Amarnath agitation on the same analogy of those killed in Kashmir during the present unrest.
Abdul Majid Wani in his speech cautioned those responsible for the present crises and advised them to stop misleading the innocent youth. He lauded the Central Government for initiating the steps for starting the dialogue with different walks of life. He said all right thinking people should contribute to end this crises and work for the betterment of people.
Launching scathing attack on the opposition PDP for the present crises in the valley, Kafi-ur-Rehman said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was the Home Minister in 1990s when the militancy was in peak in Kashmir and a large number of people were killed. He said that PDP is shedding crocodile tears and shying away from its responsibility. We all should understand our responsibilities and make collective efforts to resolve the Kashmir problem, people behind the present crises in Kashmir should be exposed.
Ashok Khajuria pleaded for removal of Article-370 to strengthen democratic system in the Jammu and Kashmir. He said Central Government should make serious efforts to get back the POK which is part of Jammu and Kashmir. He hold both Congress and National Conference responsible for the present unrest in Kashmir Valley.
Er. Rashid stressed for holding unconditional dialogue with all sections of people including separatists for resolving the Kashmir crisis. He held successive Governments as well as political parties responsible for the present unrest. He called for bringing resolution in the Legislative Assembly to have through discussion on the issue.
