10/5/2010 11:04:58 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU: Former convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti Leela-Karan Sharma lambasted the state government over the KAS result 2010 in which majority of the selected candidates are from Kashmir Valley. He said more than 45% of KAS mains result have Urdu candidates , whereas subjects like Botany and Zoology are completely eliminated.
70% of open merit list belongs to Kashmir and remaining from Jammu. He said Ladakh again washed away, first by cloudburst and now by the state government.
Leela said that he had got some information that all the papers were already known to the people of Kashmir before the actual day of examination and it was because of that they maintained to get 70% of seats
Lashing out at the Members from Jammu in Public Service Commission and all Jammu ministers in NC-Congress govt, he said there is a definite fixing behind the curtain as the result does not mention names, parentage and addresses of the passed candidates but merely their roll numbers creates doubts that there is a special strategy adopted by the state govt.to ignore Jammu. He said non-disclosure of the identities of the successful candidates appeared to have been conceived with a design and to subvert the merit. He said there is a big confusion in the list in category based vacancies as well.
Leela Karan demanded the immediate publication of full particulars of selected candidates, and the marked obtained by them otherwise this will prove disastrous for government, especially Jammu-based ministers.
