| Kissan mela organized at Budhal | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 5: J&K State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited organised Kissan Mela at Budhal to distribute loan amount to the farmers.
In a press statement issued here, Deputy Manager of the bank, M.A. Khawaja threw light on various schemes of the Bank in regard of loan being given to farmers. He also distributed Rs 3 lakh loan cheques among the farmers.
In order to extend the programmes to all villages, the Bank has framed Farmers Clubs which will create an awareness among the public regarding Bank loans. Such Mela are also likely to be held in Manjakote and Thanamandi in near future.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Manager Mohammad Alyas Khawaja said that the Bank was registered under the cooperative Societies Act 1960 and established under the unitary pattern in 1962. He said that the Bank was launched with basic aims and objectives of providing term credit facility to the ignored agriculture class for improvement in farm machinations, dairy development, non farm sector and rural and development.
