| JMC clears 50 building permission cases | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today cleared 50 building permission cases during a meeting held here today.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu (MCJ) S. C. Swahney. In the meeting 50 building permission cases were cleared which shall generate revenue of Rs. 8.00 lacs for Jammu Municipal Corporation. The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm), Joint Commissioner (Works) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation also attended the meeting.
Besides this, while continuing the drive to clear the footpaths / pavements from the encroachments made by the shopkeepers / vendors by keeping goods / articles thereby causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic,Enforcement Field Staff led by Chief Enforcement Officers Satish Khajuria undertook drive in the areas of Mahesh Pura, BC Road and seized material / goods like Umbrellas, Weighing Scales, Crates, Benches which were placed upon footpaths / pavements by the shopkeepers / vendors in these areas. The team also demolished four tandoors fixed on part of footpaths at Mahesh Pura Chowk.
