JSM flays govt for taking Jammuites | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 5: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) criticised the Central Government and in particular the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, who have taken the people of Jammu region for granted and allowed the members of the All Party Parliamentary delegation to meet the anti-nationalists and separatists but did not allow many registered Jammu-based political to meet them. JSM activists also criticized the Centre for announcing 8 point package for Kashmir Valley and ignored those killed in 2008 Amarnath agitation in Jammu. They said this showed a total Kashmir Valley Centric attitude and is a pointer that the present UPA Government has decided to fulfill the demands of the separatists and anti–nationalists of Kashmir Valley. JSM demanded implementation of the 1998 Singhal Committee report, appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the Jammu Central University along with delimitation of the constituencies and grant of 5 lakh to each of those killed along with withdrawal of all FIR’s against those who participated in the Amarnath agitation of 2008. Other demands included total parity for employment in the KAS; Judicial Services, teachers; lecturers & other State Govt. services to the youth of Jammu Province. The Central should stop playing with the sentiments of the people of Jammu Province by making such announcements of setting up committees whilst ignoring the ground realities of unfulfilled earlier agreements & promises along-with injustices heaped on this Province over the years. JSM alleged the discriminatory attitude of the J&K Bank who announced concessions only to the business community of the Kashmir Valley . Press conference was addressed by Capt. Anil Gour, Vice – President & Spokesperson, JSM with General Secretaries Chandra Uday Sharma & Mahesh Sharma, & Secretary Surjit Singh &. Mukesh Raina attending.
