Science exhibition concludes

KATHUA, Oct 5 : The two-days science exhibition programme organized by the DIET at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Town hall Kathua concluded here today with full enthusiasm under the supervision of entire district administration kathua.
On the occasion, more than two hundreds of schools participated and presented science models on different topics. The HSS level first Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri, Parole clinched first position for presenting the dynamic model which revealed the eco-friendly town, Govt. HSS (Boys) Kathua with title poly house, and the Govt.HSS Dhar Mhanpur with title wind energy got second position, the Govt. HSS Chakra with title anti collision device stood third position, JNV Basholi with title green energy got fourth position, Kartar Public HSS Barnoti with title energy through pressure and Little Angel HSS Kathua with title bio-gas plant stood for consolation prizes.
As per elementary level, Govt.MS Kathua with title agriculture mix farming got first position, Govt. MS Chack Desa Singh with title Safety saves got second position, Govt. Middle School Chack Deewan Kirpal Ram with title eco system and Govt.MSS Lakhanpur with title Destruction of earth clichéd third position. In Toy competition Govt. MS (Girls) Chack Desa Singh educational toys got first position, Govt. MS Dhali with title teaching AIDS got second position, Euro-Kids Rainbow with title playway methods for teachings got third position.
As per secondary level Govt. HS Dhar Dugru Billawar with title prevention of air pollution got first position, Kids Heaven Convent HS kathua with title treatment of seawarge wastage got second position, Govt.HS Basohali(Girls) with title modified solar cooker got third position. And all the meritorious demonstrators with their top models were honoured with momentoes given by the DIET through the chief guest Director education Zaahida Khan along with CEO K.K Gupta and others.
On the occasion the chief guest Director Zaahida Khan appreciated all the participants. She also appreciated the DIET and education staff of the district kathua to make the successful and relevant the exhibition. And the CEO kathua also handed over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh 9 thousand 11 to Director Zaahida Khan for relief towards Leh victims. The amount was collected from both Govt and Private schools.
