Awareness prog marks wildlife week celebrations | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Oct 5: In the on going wildlife week celebration, an awareness programme was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir wildlife department in Government Higher Secondary School, Forlain, kathua. On the occasion, the students along with villagers of the area participated to make the programme successful and relevant. The students also performed skits, painting and debate to highlight the importance of the wildlife for the permanent existence of entire life on earth. Various students expressed their opinions to save the wild life and entire environment. On the occasion, the chief guest Director Research SKUAST.N.A Sudan, guest of honour S. Conservator U. Pachnanda, guest of honour principal Government School Yash Paul Sharma and wild life warden, Jammu Tahir Ahamad appreciated the performance of students. They said the department has launched week celebration programme with a motive for the protection of wild life which is most important part of the environment and human kind . The best performers in painting was clinched by Sanjay Singh, Tamia Sharma, and Taslim Sajjad got first,second and third position respectively and in debate Shabnam Nazz, Pinki Devi, Susham Sharma, and Vikram Kumar clinched fist second and third position respectively and all the best performer and speakers would be felicitated after some days at Jammu by the department. In the programme, Capt. Krishan Singh Chauhan, Tehsildar Deewan Singh (retd) were also present.
