| Drug peddler held, 1000 intoxicant capsules recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5: Samba Police today nabbed a drug peddler involved in smuggling the substance among the local youths for spreading addiction.
Police recovered huge quantity of drugs from the accused identified as Jatinder Kumar Sharma alias Jannat of Bhudwani Samba.
Reports said that Samba Police laid a special naka at Hospital Raod, Samba under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. During checking of the vehicles two persons while de-boarding from the bus tried to fled away which creates suspicion among the policemen deployed there. Police chased them and succeeded to apprehend one drug peddler while as another one fled away from the spot after leaving behind 500 Capsules . During Checking of the apprehended drug peddlers 500 more intoxicant capsules (Parvan spas) which have been hidden in a bag were recovered from his possession.
The accused was arrested under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA) and case to this effect stands registered at Police Station Samba. However, police is on foot to nab the absconding drug peddler.
