Annual Technical Festival “Titiksha 2010” to begin at SMVDU

JAMMU, Oct 6: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is buzzing with activity in preparation of the commencement of the Annual Technical Festival “Titiksha 2010” which shall be held on the university campus from October 8 to 10.
Like previous years, this year too it is expected to draw many participants from various academic institutions from and outside the state. These participants will be competing to show their technical skills in the field of Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical & Biotechnology engineering by participating in various events like Technical Paper presentations, Algo-logico, Reverse Coding, Battle of C, C++, Embedded Minds, Project Dsiplay and a host of other mind-challenging events.
The objective of the event is to promote a culture of using science & technology as a part of every aspect of the student’s life thus promoting a sense of respect towards their profession of science, engineering and technology. At the same time this is done in a fun and competitive environment.
Students of the university are involved in hectic preparations for the event and are being coordinated by faculty members. The Dean of Students Prof. R.S. Misra is the Convenor of the event while Sakshi Arora, lecturer school of computer science and Engineering. And Sumant are event coordinators. Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.N Bamzai shall be Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony on October 8.
While October 8 will see Intra-university events, October 9 will see participation from various institutions across country.
