BJP Kissan Morcha holds 3-day national executive meet

JAMMU, Oct 6: Three day National Executive meet and Training session of Bharatiya Janata Party Kissan Morcha (BJPVM) was held at Faridabad in Haryana under the leadership of its National President Om Parkash Dhankar. It was attended by 150 delegates from all over the country.
Jammu and Kashmir was presented by a 4-member delegation headed by Kissan Morcha State President Karan Singh and comprising of Capt. (Retd.) Kasturi Lal Sharma, Charanjit Singh Khalsa and Maqbool War. BJP National President Nitin Gadkari inaugurated this meet and addressed the inaugural session.
In his opening address, he said that due to wrong policies of government, economic condition of the farmers across the country is deteriorating with each passing day. He stressed that the governments at the centre and in the states should provide crops loan to the farmers up to Rs. 50000 at 3 percent interest rate on the pattern of BJP-government in Karnataka.
Kissan Morcha National President Om Prakash Dhankar stressed that Kissan Morcha committees upto Mandal level should be completed at the earliest and each village should have a prabhari. He made it clear that every committee should convene its meeting with the participation of farmers every month in order to take stock of the problems being faced by farming community.
From J&K, state president Kissan Morcha Karan Singh presented the details of programmes being under taken in the state at different levels during the last three months besides addressing the session. He said that Kissan Morcha in Jammu province has been regularly interacting with the farmers and it is the result of such efforts that a large number of Kissans are now coming forward to embrace BJP.
He expressed hope that morcha will get further strengthened in the coming months as the farmers are feeling betrayed by the state government by its anti-farmer policies and the best option available to them now is BJP, which, according to them have been Kissan friendly and working towards mitigation of their problems. A number of BJP stalwarts including Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Ram Lal, J.P. Nadda, Manohar Lal, Mahinder Pandey and Sat Pal Malik also addressed the different sessions of this meet during the three days.
