| Dar new chief of Rajouri lecturers forum | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 6: Following election for the post of district president of 10+2 Lecturers Forum, Abdul Rauf Dar has clinched the seat by securing majority votes through secret ballot system.
Sources said that Abdul Rauf Dar, senior lecturer has been elected as President of 10+2 Lecturers Forum for district Rajouri after an election was held for the post in the month of May this year. Among the total 363 votes, Dar got 199 votes defeating nearest contender Rakesh Gupta who got 172 votes. The returning Officer of the election and Principal, District Institute of Education, Bahudur Singh has declared Dar as winner after clean chit by High Court of the state.
Sources said that following the election, opposition leaders had stayed the results in local court and the case was referred to High Court where the decision came in favour of the result and the RO declared it with Dar as winner.
The election is held after every three years and its campaigning and preparations are not less than Assembly Election.
Following his election as President of the Forum, Abdul Rauf Dar visited Thanamandi and Darhal and thanked the voters for their support . He also framed a document of priority.
“My priority will be regularization of contractual lecturers and launching crusade for the justice of these lecturers”, Abdul Rauf Dar said adding that these lecturers are receiving meager enumerations whereas they are giving full time at par with the permanent lecturers. “There is injustice with these people and I will raise voice for them on priority basis”, Dar said adding that Education Minister had assured them to regularize these lecturers but no action has been taken till date.
Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum Chairman Rajouri Poonch, Shahbaz Khan, Trade Union leader Vijay Kochar and JKTF District President Vinod Sharma have welcomed the results and congratulated Dar for his victory.
In regular weekly multilingual literary activities, Adbi Kunj held another creative meet at is Literary Centre, New Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, which was presided over by well known, Urdu literary figure Dr. Satinder Singh Fani. Noted educationist, writer and poet Dr. Majid Anwar Alghazi Salaria was the chief guest and the proceedings were conducted by a renowned singer poet Ved Upal Ved.
At the outset the organization remembered some outstanding worldfame, National personalities, Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of India late Lal Bahadur Shastri and Shere-E-Duggar Lala Hans Raj Mahajan .
The organization appealed to the masses to maintain brotherhood and peace and created atmosphere to show their respect to all religions .
The other poets of this session were included- Muni Lal Puri, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar, Majid Anwar alghazi – Gardhari Lal Rahi- Ved Upal Ved, K.L. Dewana, Com. Jawant Singh, Rajeshwar, Raj Kumar Uttam, Rajeev Kumar, Ajay Jogi, Karan Gupta, Chander Ved Parkash, Ram Lal Gulab, Ravi Rohmetra and Sham Talib. In the meet, it was unanimously decided that the time of the weekly meet of the Adbi Kunj will be 4 pm from the month of October 2010. The meet was come to end with the vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief Organizer of the Organization.
