Reorganization of state is only solution: Mankotia | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 6:Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party President and MLA from Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia said that J&K need reorganization which shall address the demands of autonomy, self-rule and azadi. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected Chief Minister Omar Abdullah due to his pro-Jamaati stance and therefore he has lost his acceptability and credibility both. Mankotia while speaking in the Legislative Assembly lamented the arguments of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that J&K only acceded to India but did not merge with it. He questioned the Chief Minister’s claim that J&K has not merged with the Union of India, he said that the Constituent Assembly of J&K had finally adopted the Accession and Sheikh Abdullah’s agreement with the Government of India in 1975 left no room for any further doubts when Sheikh accepted to become Chief Minister under an accord with the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Mankotia chided the Chief Minister for showing lip opposition to Jamaat leaders’ so-called ‘Quit Kashmir’ call of which National Conference was the author in 1946. Mankotia attacked the Chief Minister for acting as a spokesman of Hurriyat (G) and in fact carrying the propaganda against India which amounts to breach of oath which he has taken to uphold integrity, unity and sovereignty of India.
