| Navratra, Dussehra arrangements finalized in Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Oct 6:To finalize arrangements for celebration of Navratra and Dussehra festivals in Udhampur town, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed Khan convened a meeting with District Officers and prominent citizens of the town, here on Wednesday.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held at Sports Stadium, Udhampur ,where the effigies of Ravna, Kumbhkarna and Meghnada would be installed and consigned to flames.
Deputy Commissioner also gave on the spot instructions to various departmental heads regarding other arrangements like drinking water and power supply, security, sanitation, Medicare, seating and barricading.
The DDC also asked the officers of Civil Defence and Fire Services to deploy their vehicles at venue of function to meet any eventuality while Civil Defence Organization would also provide the services of Civil Defence volunteers both during first Navratra and Dusshera at stadium. The meeting also finalized various arrangements for forthcoming Navratra festival
