Estate employees urges authorities mitigate genuine problems | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: The executive body of the estate employees welfare association, led by its president S.Satnam Singh visited various site offices and interacted with the employees to know about the problem being faced, and their demands. Employees said the service books and the G.P Fund account books are not being completed up to mark. The wages of the daily rated workers are not disbursed to them at proper time putting them in economic stress. No tools have been provided to the technical staff who have completed 15 years of service, and also uniforms and tools are also filed of wok and ousting of daily wagers has added to it. In addition to the these problems and demands grave and genuine demands to be tackled by the higher authorities also come under discussion which are re-engagement of the ousted technical daily wagers whose services were terminated in 2001. Regularization of the daily wagers immediately completion of the required period. Settlement of the seniority list of the technical staff/ cadre employees which was settled in year 2005 but has been changed- needs to be reconsidered. Exigent and required amendment in SRO 421 service recruitment rules of the estates deptt needs to be given priority. Holding of the departmental promotion committees as per the schedule in the time and taking in consideration the re-settled seniority list as per above at (3) above. The prominent executive body members included Kewal Krishan, Radha Krishan, Satish Kumar, Balinder Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Rashpal, Ram Pal, Krishan Lal, Harbans Lal, Mohan Lal, Shanti Devi etc. attend the meeting.
