Udhampur, Oct 7: The district congress committee in a meeting highlighted problems of Udhampur town which includes encroachment by Rehris Pheri wallas, worst sanitation condition of Udhampur town, irregular supply of drinking water and heavy rush of electricity subscribers during deposit of their electricity bill. Addressing the workers, Anil Pachiala said that the population of Udhampur town is increasing day by day but Municipal council limit of Udhampur town is same as six decades ago. He said that keeping in view of present circumstances, town is badly required. He assured the workers that very soon he will submit a memorandum of expansion of Udhampur town to the state government and will brought public problems into the notice of administration. The meeting was also addressed by Ashok Chandyal, Retd. Col APJS Meht. Narinder Singh, and Ashok Khajuria.
