| VOICE organises cultural programme on HIV/AIDS awareness | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 8: The Volunteer’s organisation for international Co-operation and equality (Voice) working for the upliftment of the weaker section of the society and social reforms. In collaboration with J&K AIDS prevention and Control society in various poverty sticken / rural and for flung areas of Distt. Ramban and Doda at Thatharka, Sangaldan, ind, Ganga, Utrana and Assar organised AIDS awareness programme through cultural programme.
The main objective of the programme was to aware and educate the rural masses and youth about this dreadly diseases its causes and preventions. During the programs experts and volunteers delivered the lectures on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and its symptoms, causes and preventive measures.
The programmes were attended by the farmers, women, youth, Anganwari and Asha works and students VLW’s etc. During the programmes literature on HIV AIDS published by J&K State AIDS prevention and control society was also distributed among the participaints.
Chairman “VOICE” Advocate Imtiyaz also appealed the rural masses and youth of the areas to come forward to eradicate this disease by adoption all the preventive measures to lead a health life style present in the programmes include Kasser Singh, Pawan Singh, Mohd Nazir Dar, Sheer Mohd, Haneefa Bagnum, Nahida Bano, Jamal Din and other prominent artists. |
