Chander Mohan slams Omar’s anti-national statement | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8: Reacting sharply on the objectionable and anti-national statement made by Omar Abdullah, CM, the state unit of BJP has strongly condemned and branded it an anti-national statement which is least expected from a person who himself heads the state govt and captains the other ministers to lead the state towards unity and integrity as inshrined in the constitution of India. The statement made by Omar Abdullah during the State’s Assembly session clearly mentions that he has betrayed the oath of his office administered to him at the time of assuming office of chief ministership. While addressing the press conference Anil Gupta, vice president, Chander Mohan Gupta, senior BJP’s leader said that the statement is shameful and was meant to hide his incompetence to bring peace in the State. The intention is very clear that the issue is unnecessarily exaggerated to draw the world wide attention keeping in view the forthcoming visit of US President Barack Obama to India during the month of Nov. 2010. The BJP’s leaders also re-iterated that Jammu and Kashmir is fully acceded and merged with the union of India for all purposes ever since Maharaja Hari Singh signed its instrument of accession with the then Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. |
