| Kabaddi Gold Cup gets underway | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 09: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association in collaboration with NIS Amateur Kabaddi Club and J&K Kabaddi Players Cooperative Society, the Sub-junior Kabaddi Gold Cup started today at Unique Public Higher Secondary School, here today.
The competition was declared open by Colonel Gangoly, who was chief guest on the occasion. Chairperson of the host school, Jasbir Singh presided.
Prominent among others present were Dinesh Gupta, Surinder Mohan, Anil Padha, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, general secretary of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association.
In all, 18 teams representing different educational institutions of the district are competing in both boys and girls sections in this two-day event.
After opening day competitions, semifinals line has been drawn in boys section with Shiv Public School, Sari, Bharti Shiksha Kender, Pouni Chak, Kailash Niketan, Pouni Chack, Unique Public Higher Secondary School, Gadi Garh.
In girls section, Government Girls High School Simbal reached the final.
