| Govt. determined to remove deadwood from administration: Dilawar | | | Srinagar, October 29 The Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Mohammad Dilawar Mir has called upon the engineers and field staff to strive hard to come upto the expectations of the people. Speaking to representative of various employees unions and federations of the Kashmir division here this morning, the Minister said that social commitment and dedication of engineers and field agencies is primarily essential to redress the grievances of the turmoil ravaged people of the state. The Minister said that government would safeguard the service interests of the employees but non-performers would be phased out of the department. He said the performance of employees and officers would gauged and screened to sensitize the concerned agencies related to the welfare of the people and developmental scenario. The representatives of the employees sought creation of regular staff for newly created water supply schemes as per norms and promotion of staff on district and divisional levels to remove stagnation in the department. They also demanded provision of superior tools and uniforms for the field staff and urged for rationalization of pay scales of the employees.
