| Army organizes medical camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Oct 9: A medical camp was organised by 13 Rashtriya Rifles (Kumaon) Headquarters 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Victor Force at Village Hajan, Tehsil-Sonawari today.
Aim of the medical camp was to provide medical aid and create health awareness to the needy hailing from remote areas.
The medical camp was also an effort to synergise medical resources of the Civil Administration and the Army optimally.
The joint efforts of Army and civil medical authorities extended medical advice and free treatment to the locals present which was appreciated by the residents of the area.
Team of army and civil doctors assisted by nursing assistants and paramedics rendered their services.
A total of 551 patients including 177 men, 161 women and 213 children were treated. Besides extending free medicines and necessary Out Patient Department facilities the camp also focused on educating the civil populace on preventive and social medicine. The locals expressed their gratitude towards the Army for reaching out to the local populace, for such a noble cause.
