2nd workshop on Communication Skills and Personality Development begins

Jammu, October 9: The second 10-day workshop on “Communication Skills and Personality Development” began at Govt. College for Women, Parade Ground today.
The workshop has been organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College.
Kiran Bakshi, principal, GCW, parade who was Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion she said that it is high time when every student of the college is given at least the basic training so that each one of them can understand the implication and importance of Communication Skills. She also appreciated the over whelming response of the students to participate in such activities organized by the college which help in chanalizing their efforts towards building purposeful academic career in life.
Earlier, M.S. Pathania, coordinator IQAC, welcomed the guests and highlighted the aims and objectives of the workshop.
He informed that this is the second workshop which is being attended by 150 students of the college from B.Com Part-I, B.Sc. Part-II and B.Sc. Part-III Classes.
The earlier workshop which concluded on 23rd of Sept. 2010 was also attended by same number of students from Functional English, Home Science and Commerce streams.
As per the feedback obtained from the students who attended the workshop earlier and over whelming response of other students, the college IQAC has organized this second 10 day workshop, with a goal to enrich the personality and develop the communication skills of the participants.
Seema, the resource person from Perfect E-Solutions, Panchkula presented the keynote address and highlighted the various topics to be covered during the 10 day deliberations of the workshop.
Senior faculty members, members of college IQAC and students were also present on the occasion.
The programme was compered by Sugandh Gupta and Akriti Sharma of B.Com. Part-II.
