| Wildlife week celebrations concluded at Women’s College | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 9: Science Club of Govt. College for Women, Parade in collaboration with J&K State Council for Science and Technology (DST) Jammu organized Wild Life Week Celebrations. Upendra Panchanda, Chief Conservator Wild Life wing of Jammu, was the chief guest, O.P Sharma; Chief Conservator Forest was the special Guest and Sunita Razdan, Asstt. Director, J&K State Council for Science and Technology (DST), Jammu was also present in the valedictory function. Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal, GCW Parade, in her welcome address appreciated the students for their active participation in the events. She also said that these activities besides being educative provided a good platform for exploring the talent of the students. The chief guest highlighted the importance of the wild life week and emphasized the need for protection of wild life and their habitat. 150 students participated in the events like power point presentation, plantation Techniques College, poster making, foliage identification, unique exhibits and on the concluding day poetry recitation competition was held. Members of the science Club Dr.Neeraj Gupta, Prof. Mala Bhasin, Prof. Anita Sharma, Prof. Bhavana, Prof. Devinder and Prof. Shammi and others members of the teaching staff were also present on the occasion.
