JKMFPJ demands action against corrupt officers | | | Early times Report Jammu, Oct 9: The members of all J&K movement for peace and justice (JKMFPJ) in a meeting have describe the uproar in the state assembly on Oct 4 must serve as an eye-opener and also as a whip for the conscience of all the right thinking people. The accusation by the legislators and the disclosure by the government clearly showed to what extent the governance in the state has degenerated. There are hundreds of cases against high ranking officers, bureaucrats and ministers but these files are gathering dust in Sac and SVO offices, these two organizations having been made important willfully by the government. If these powerful offenders are let go scot-free, the officers working under them are tempted and encouraged to follow the corrupt practices and as a result the whole system has become rotten. Members said chief minister’s instructions issued in the meeting of district vigilance officers held in the office of vigilance commissioner Jammu in the month of Feb 2010 have proved to be mere hollow powerless words. His instructions to catch the big fish have yielded no result so far and nor shall they ever do so. The fact of the matter is that none of them really intends to do so as everybody himself in knee-deep in this all-pervasive malady. It is only the common man who is getting crushed under the wheel of this corruption. The members of this organization, Daleep Singh, Om Parkash Rao, GS Charak, Om Raj Bhall, K.K Rao, RL Raina, MA Magrey, Yog Raj Sharma appeal to all the other right thinking people to come forward irrespective of caste, colour and creed to join this organization in great numbers, become its members and jointly assume the status of a powerful storm too strong to be resisted by the corrupt system prevailing at present on the state.
