Pak currency notes found in border field at Khour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 9: The Pakistani currency notes were today recovered from a border field at Balli in Khour sub-sector of Akhnoor. The currency notes were first sighted by some villagers while working in the field. After they contacted them, police reached the spot and took the notes into their custody, police sources said. "Some locals this morning informed police as regards the recovery of Pak currency notes from a field in the border Balli village of Khour Sector," SP (rural) Mohan Lal said. A police team was immediately rushed to the spot, he added. "Six Pak currency notes in the denomination of Rs 5 each were recovered from the spot," the SP said and added that the security in the area had been tightened. "The searches has been intensified in the bordering belt after the recovery of Pak currency as presence of infiltrators cannot be ruled out," he said. Sources said BSF also intensified patrolling in the area after the recovery of Pak notes. It was suspected that the notes either belonged to militant guides who had come to recce the area, or some militants who had reached the Indian fields to make an infiltration bid. |
