KHC demands legal, constitutional action against Omar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 10: The Kashmiri Hindu conference (KHC) has sought constitutional and legal action against the chief minister Omar Abdullah, questioning the instrument of accession of the J&K state with rest of the country. Addressing the members of the executive body of KHC, ML Thusoo said the recent speech of Omar Abdullah on the floor of house is violation of the oath of office plus breach of trust. He said chief minister tried to cover his failure in administrating the rule of law in the state and added it shows how he pleased the separatist and other anti-national element active in the Kashmir valley. He said the educated people of the state are aware that the accession of the state with India is full and final. He said Abdullah’s at times befool the valley people and at times overactively display national tendency. The glaring example is when he was state minister for external affairs in the central government under NDA. These political gimmicks is to continue with political power, he added. The chief minister considers the government of India and its leaders as a spentforce, and takes them fargranted. Their dynastic rule for last 60 years and with brief breaks has developed a vested interest among them. The Kashmiri people are fed up with such a kind of sponsored democracy. The leaders of KHC in the conference demand a stern legal and constitutional action against the chief minister, so that no body in the country questions its supremacy and integrity. Leaders who spoke in the conference alarmed the Indian national congress that if they support such a secessionist chief minister they will have to pay heavily for such a folly. Others who spoke include PL Koul Budgami, KL Ganjoo, ML Dajri, SN Raina, AK Koul, AK Bhat, ML Koul and GL Bhat.
