| Scouts camp concludes at Bhaderwah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BHADERWAH, OCT 10: A five-day long Scouts and Guides camp organised by District Youth Services and Sports concluded here today.
Robin Singh Additional Commissioner Doda was the chief guest on the occasion. More then 160 scouts and guides drawn from various schools of district Doda participated in the camp.
The main aim of the scouting camp was to build up strength among the girls.
The Girl Scout program, which developed from the concerns of the progressive movement in Jammu and Kashmir, sought to promote the social welfare of young girls and was formed as a counterpart to boy scouts.
Mohd Ayaz Khan Distt Youth Sport officer acted as chief camp coordinator while Ashok Kumar was Dy Chief camp.
Bharat Scouts and Guides head quater Jammu deputed some official for the said camp
During the camp, the girls were imparted the training different signal, knots Gadgets, BP6 and other activities.
