BJP apprises Yoga Guru about Kashmir situation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ramesh Arora today held an hour long meeting with Swami Ram Dev wherein they discussed the situation in Jammu and Kashmir especially the present turmoil and refugee problem including resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits. BJP State Spokesperson apprised Swami Ram Dev that 13 lakh refugees from West Pakistan still do not have right to vote in state. He informed the Yoga Guru that Kashmiri Pandits are not in a position to go back unless and until proper arrangement is made. 27 percent Kashmiri speaking are dominating in political scenario and others are not given their due share due to ban on delimitation till 2026, Arora informed the Yoga Guru. Arora also gave him a detailed account of confused policies of state government over Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) and withdrawal of troops with out justification only to take care of local vote bank in Kashmir due to Kashmir centric approach rather an approach to appease fundamentalists. Swami Ram Dev was of the opinion that J&K is facing multiple problems and he was shocked to hear that since 1947 right to vote and property was not given to Indians in this state. Ultimately, it was agreed by Swami Ji that the whole issue will be taken at appropriate level and was in agreement over the issues discussed in the meeting between Swami Ram Dev and Ramesh Arora.
