Dy SP, Insp hurt in road mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 11: Two cops received injuries when a car in which they were traveling-in collided with an oil tanker at Jhajjar Kotli on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today. The injured cops have been identified as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Rajni Sharma and Inspector Zamrodh Singh. The duo was brought to the GMC hospital by police where their condition is stated to be stable. The doctors attending them said that the cops have sustained minor injuries. Both the cops were going to the Police Training Acadamy, Udhampur when the incident occurred. SHO Jhajjar Kotli Surinder Sharma informed that the highway was wet due to rain and the road was bit slippery. A tanker driver lost control over his vehicle due to less friction on road and it slipped when he suddenly applied brakes on it. The vehicle bearing registration number JK03-4600 first hit an army truck and then collided with the car. He further said that police has registered a case in this connection and arrested the tanker driver Billal Ahmed of Kulgam.
