| Fisheries deptt introduce insurance scheme for registered fishermen | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Oct 11: An Awareness programme was conducted at Mansar lake by the Department of Fisheries, Samba today. The programme was attended by the Ex-Sarpanch of Chenni Mansar alongwith large number of people residing in the vicinity of Mansar lake.
During the programme, Kul Bhushan Verma, Assistant Director, Fisheries, held discussions with the people regarding various aspects of the Fisheries present in the lake particularly with reference to their food & feeding habits, their habitant and economic importance. He also briefed about various welfare schemes of the Department of Fisheries like construction of low cost houses for registered fishermen.
