| B.R. Sharma flags of J&K Sport Climbing Team | | |

B.R. Sharma Chief Electoral Officer, J&K today flagged off the nine member J&K Sport Climbing team to New Delhi for participation in the 12th National Sports Climbing Competition to be held at Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi from November 4-7. The team comprises of Shivati Koul (Captain), Bhawana Sharma, Rohini Chib (women category), Suraj Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Rajeev Sharma (boys category), Harjot Kour, Shivani Raj Kaith and Prinay Choudhary (girls category). It is pertinent to mention here that J&K team which recently won the North Zone Sport Climbing Trophy is a part of the North Zone team which shall compete in the national (inter zonal competitions). Others who were present on the occasion were Ravinder Gupta, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Prof. Lalit Magotra, Krishan Lal Sharma, S.S. Jamwal, Happy Choudhary Principal MNDP School R.S. Pura along with other office bearers of Mountaineering Association of J&K and its affiliated clubs. The event was sponsored by Tawi Trekkers J&K. The J&K team for the national competition has been sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
