JSM exhort upon state, center to break criminal silence on Omar’s statement | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 12: Jammu State Morcha has expressed concern on the silence of the Congress party both at the state and centre and the Union Government, on the statement of Omar Abdullah challenging the accession of J&K state, the integrity of the country and its constitution and endorsing the agenda of the separatists and Pakistan “ The criminal silence on the part of the Congress party and the Union Govt. on this issue raises serious apprehensions in the minds of the people of J&K state and the country about their intentions,” Virender Gupta, president Jammu State Morcha said addressing a press conference here today.. He said that Congress party and the Government of India have to answer to the people whether they also endorse the views expressed by Omar Abdullah or they have reached an understanding with him and the separatist leaders to grant greater autonomy, pre-1952 position or any solution for J&K state. “If it is so then people of Jammu and Ladakh regions have no other option except to revolt against the Government of India and the State Govt. to demand for their judicious place in the democratic country that India is and ask for dividing the state and creating separate states for Jammu and Ladakh regions.,” warned Gupta. As it is Ladakh is already asking for a Union Territory status which has also been agreed too by BJP & Congress parties in their election manifesto while not caring for the aspirations & urges of Jammu region. He accused the Congress responsible for Kashmir problem and alleged that it was Congress which time and again gave hype to Kashmir issue by taking it to UNO, giving special status to J&K etc. ‘It is an irony that Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty at the centre and Abdullah Dynasty in J&K state have always created a situation that is against the national integrity and the nationalist people residing in J&K state’, he alleged. He added that giving the reign of the state at the hands of Sheikh Abdullah, forcing Maharaja Hari Singh to leave the state, taking the Kashmir issue to UNO as a disputed matter and unilaterally declaring to hold plebiscite to ascertain the wishes of the people about the merger of the state with India. JSM called upon the people of Jammu region and all the nationalists to rise to the occasion and unite themselves to defeat the evil designs of the separatists including the so called mainstream parties of Kashmir - N.C and PDP. “They should also unite to defend their rights and interests and save Jammu region from the unholy alliance of the separatist forces of the Valley and also from the anti – Jammu policies being pursued by the Government of India,” said JSM chief. Among others who were present in the press conference were vice presidents H B Khajuria, Capt Anil Gour, general secretary Chandra Uday Sharma and Virander Magotra and Incharge Marh Surjeet Singh
