| Winning start by Jammu in inter-district TT, Badminton | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 12: Hosts Jammu district made a winning start in twin events of table tennis and badminton in the inter-district divisional level indoor competitions, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
However, competition in other games of gymnastics, taekwondo, fencing, judo and yoga shall start from tomorrow. Except for two districts of Ramban and Kishtwar all the districts of Jammu Division have reported to the organizers for different competitions.
Earlier, the competitions were declared open by Deputy Director DYSS, S S Bali.
TABLE TENNIS: Jammu boys and girls have qualified for the semifinals of all the three age groups of under-14, under-17 and under-19 today.

BADMINTON: District Jammu, Rajouri and Udhampur won their respective matches in badminton competitions to advance into the next round.

BOYS U-19: Rajouri bt Doda 2-0: Kunal bt Abid Hussain 21-15, 21-08. Doubles: Kunal and Parshar bt Rohit Kumar and Abid Hussain 21-08, 21-09. Udhampur bt Kathua 2-1: Shubam lost to Bavesh 21-13, 07-21, 08-21 while Sidhant bt Vivek 21-11, 21-18. Doubles: Rajat and Ajay bt Vivek and Vivesh in straight sets.
