Bimla advocates full autonomy for state

Restoration of Autonomy is the only solution within in Indian Constitution to have lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir State any solution better than this is acceptable to National Conference provided the people of all the regions of the state agree to it, said Bimla Luthra, Provincial President National Conference women wing. While addressing meeting of party workers at villag Jandlehar in Tehsil R.S Pura today. She said PPD is chanting self rule since it left the government but till date they do not have any concrete proposal and are simply trying to weaken the agenda of National Conference and create confusion among the people of the state. She said National Conference has a glorious and historical past and has always shown the right path and direction to the people of the state. She asked the people do not to be mislead by the hollow slogans of PDP.
According to press release, Bimla questioned the unholy alliance of Congress with the PDP is propagating the slogan of Gen. Parvez Musharraf i.e Self-Rule and Demilitarization, whereas Congress opposing it. She said people of the state and rest f the country want to know what is the real stand of the Congress party in the state.
She said, NC will pursue programme and policies of Madr-e-Meharban and Sher-e-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as envisaged in Naya Kashmir and party under the dynamic stewardships of Omar Abdullah is committed for providing 33% reservation to the women in every field, she said.
The inhabitants of the area apprised Bimla Luthra that the concerned MLA is not paying any heed towards the development activities in the area. No developmental activities have been taken up in the areas since she has been voted as MLA.
They apprised Luthra that there is a need to construct a Shamshanghat and Latrines in the area. She assured that she will take up the matter with concerned authorities and get their demands fulfilled at the earliest.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Veena Oberai, Satwant Kour, Amrit Varsha, Raj Rani, Bimla Devi and others.
