| Sainik School Nagrota wins Inter Zonal Basketball Championship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 12: Sainik School Nagrota felicitated its school basketball and hockey teams, both winners and runners up in the All India Sainik Schools Inter Zonal Tournament, respectively. S Chattopadhyaya IG BSF, Jammu Frontier presided over the ceremony.
Group Captain Ajay Kumar, Principal Sainik School Nagrota welcomed the Chief Guest and acquainted him with the history of Sainik Schools and thanked him for providing coaches to train the school basketball team. The school basketball team has created history as it is for the first time since the schools’ inception that Sainik School Nagrota has won Inter Zonal Basketball Championship.
S Chattopadhyaya, gave away the certificates and medals to the players. He appreciated the efforts put in by the players, coaches and staff under the able leadership of the Principal. Ajay Kapila, Assistant Commandant, Sports BSF Jammu was also honoured during the ceremony. A large number of proud parents of the players were also present to witness the Ceremony. S Chattopadhyaya, interacted with parents and players over a cup of tea and congratulated them personally for their proud achievement.
